94th birth anniversary of Nadikar Thilakom

Tomorrow, on 1st October Nadikar Thilakom Shivaji Ganeshan celebrates his 94th birthday in heaven. On 1st October 1928 V.Chinnaiya Manrayar Ganesamoorthy, popular by his stage name Shivaji Ganesan, was born in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu. Ganesan was the fourth son of Chinnaiya Manrayar and Rajamani Ammal. He started his acting career at the age of seven soon after joining a touring stage drama company. He joined the company without his father’s consent and this marks his burning desire and passion toward’s acting. Moreover, the kick-off for the transition of little Ganesan to the famous Shivaji Ganeshan was from that stage company. In his early career Ganesan acted under the name V.C Ganesan.
